Performance characteristics is an alternative to many grades of carbon steel bar in applications requiring significant machining. Capabilities include fast machining, long tool life, wear resistance, vibration damping, high strength, toughness & ductility. Can be heat-treated, coated & painted. The continuous cast process eliminates typical static cast defects such as shrinkage, porosity & inclusions.
